Only stopped for a drink, lovely setting behind the pretty beach huts. This is a large pub and restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside sofas! Situated next to the children’s play area and large green! Service was quick and friendly.

Absolutely the best pub food around Essex. Amazing food. Good price and lovely views. Staff are wonderful and chef actually takes an interest! Will come back many more times!

This restaurant was recommended to us and exceeded our expectations. The bartenders are masterful in there creations. The mojito and painkiller were our favorites. Sunday they had live music. The singer had an amazing stage presence and voice. We danced, enjoyed the stunning views and bought a bunch of T-shirts. Definitely a place we will visit again and again. And highly recommend. One of the best menus we seen on our trip. The staff, service and quality were top notch.

Visited today after a walk along the beach. Fantastic pub, friendly, quick service and the food was absolutely delicious and really reasonably priced (we shared). The chef was more than happy to pop out and have a chat, that means a lot. Every where was clean and furniture spotless. Having not been to West Mersea for a good many years we are looking forward to more frequent trips and another lovely lunch at The Sandbank.

Bog portions and all your bar favourites. Went for the gammon one day which was great. Good drinks selection too and service was friendly and quick. Happy with it all.

Dogs now allowed in the front bar. Common sense on this very dog friendly island. I used to caravan on here and moved to the island but was disappointed that I could no longer pop In the clubhouse for a beer whilst on my dog walk. But now I can and will, nice holiday atmosphere for people who live on the island.
